Sweet & Sour Chicken

Another pintested meal that satisfied! This was really easy to make, but I was skeptical about the ingredients in the sauce.  I won’t lie, it smelled awful, but we cooked it and it tasted so good! It was better than restaurant Chinese food! We really loved this dinner, thanks Pinterest!

Sweet & Sour Chicken

Chicken Breading:
3-5 Chicken Tenderloins
Salt and Pepper
1/2c. Flour
2 Eggs, beaten
1/3c. Oil (just enough to fill your skillet/use a small skillet)

3/4c. Sugar
4 Tbsp. Ketchup

1/2c. White Wine Vinegar

1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
1 tsp. Garlic Powder


-Preheat oven to 350 and also heat oil in small skillet. (You want it very hot and can test it by sprinkling a tiny bit of water on the pan) 

-Rinse chicken and cut into 1 inch cubes. Season with salt and pepper. Dip chicken into flour and coat all the way and then dip into eggs. Place chicken in skillet for 10-15 seconds on each side and remove. Should be golden brown. Place chicken in baking dish.

-Whisk sauce together until smooth and pour evenly over chicken. Bake in the  oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. 

I served it over unseasoned rice. Yummy!
